Notice:
I updated this car to run in the 9s. As it was configured
for the 2011 season, it ran 9.98 on a cool spring morning.
However it normally ran 10.10s at 134 mph in the summer
heat. I am increasing the motor cubic inches, porting out
the heads and adding more cam. I am replacing the existing 2
speed Power-Glide with a 3 speed Turbo 400 w/2.76 first
gear. I am also changing the
4.11 rear gears to 4.30s. 60 foot times were 1.50s. With the
new configuration I think we will get a 1.35 60 foot time.
UPDATE:
On April 7th we ran 9.77 @ 142 mph. Our 60' times were in
the 1.36 range. 1/8 mile was just over 6.28 @ 112 mph. |
